Julie & Alicia. Where do I begin? You know the type of people that just make you feel happy to be alive? Yep. That's them. They just have this contagious happiness about them that you want to bottle up and take with you everywhere. Ya know, the type of people that you truly wish the very best of everything life has to offer.

We met up for a morning session at the beautiful Tarrywile park in Danbury & they pretty much nailed it!

seila visits grandma!

Some of you might remember Seila from her newborn session! I was so excited when her grandma called me to schedule a Valentine's Day mini session! Normally, I'm afraid to shoot at other people's homes because I never know what the lighting situation will be. Thankfully, there was plenty of pretty light at Seila's grandma's house. I just love the way all of these photos came out. I love the natural lighting and how it's imperfect. I love the yellow light from the windows. I love her little expressions, adorable outfit and curly hair! Seila is so sweet. She sat right on my lap and wanted to play with my camera. I'm amazed at how big she has gotten and I can't wait to see her again.

a sneak peek | valentine's mini sessions!

As Saturday morning rolled around, I checked my weather app one more time. Yep, it was still going to be 20 degrees. Photographing kids is always a challenge, but I had a feeling this would be a little bit harder than usual. The thing is, I was totally up for it! To top it off, my amazing friend Rachel agreed to be my assistant for the day. I met her at Southford Falls in Southbury, CT with some Dunkin' Donuts and we got ready for 3 back to back mini sessions. I was super excited because they were all brand new clients! I had so much fun chasing these little angels around in the blistering cold and I'm pretty happy with the images I managed to capture.

My last mini session clients of the weekend opted for a much warmer location - my little in home "studio"! ;)

I haven't included any writing in my past few posts because I'm always in a rush. On top of that, I always over think things way too much. I don't have to write a full blown inspirational and witty story for every post, right? Ok. Good!

Here is the beautiful Cynthia and her daughter Ann'Alyse awaiting the arrival of their newest member! It was literally raining while we took these photos! I am starting to like taking photos on cloudy days more and more. There is something so calm and serene about it. Can't wait to meet and photograph Cynthia's new baby girl in a few weeks! Enjoy.
